Getting to live that quote daily is one of many reasons I love being an architect. Getting the chance to meet new people and work with them to create something new from the ground up is a wonderful experience.
Around the time he was a freshman in high school, Jared dreamed about being an architect and running his own firm. He was introduced to the profession after discovering a book about Frank Gehry. He was fascinated by the pictures of the buildings and the process drawings and models that were used in developing the overall concepts for the designs. That created the initial spark that started Jared's passion for architecture. Since then, Jared's passion for the profession has grown along with his love of working with clients to help realize their architectural dreams. He fulfilled his dream of becoming an architect at the beginning of 2016 when he became a licensed architect in his home state of Louisiana. In July of 2021, he was able to fulfill his dream of running his own firm when he established Petitjean Architecture, LLC.
Jared has over 13 years of experience in the profession and has filled many roles during his time at multiple places and has been a part of projects that range in various sizes, scopes, and budgets. That experience has taught him the importance of understanding a client's needs, wants, and desires, along with how to successfully execute a project from start to finish. During those years, Jared has developed the belief that functional and attractive architectural designs are possible to achieve at almost any project size, location, and budget. With this belief, Jared enjoys collaborating with clients to help bring their project goals to reality.
Outside of being an architect, he is a husband, father, a college football and baseball fan, amateur photographer, recreational cyclist, aviation and space enthusiast, and beach lover.
